Land Rover LR3 remote starter, 1 hour install!!!

Yup,

Turns out one of the classic nightmare vehicles to do is now do-able in under an hour by a qualified technician.

Just wanted to brag

Using 1 factory key fob under the dash, a compustar 1 button remote starter. 2 mini relays and a diode.

To disarm the factory alarm, you need to trigger keysense and and the Fob at the same time.

this disarms the OEM alarm and allows for remote start. But with Keysense still being active, the factory remotes won't unlock the doors.

So you hook Keysense to the unlock wire of the compustar and program it for 2.5 Second unlock. this disarms the OEM alarm, and since Keysense and the Transponder were triggered at the same time it still allows for remote start, without keysense being active.

Use a Diode to isolate the factory keysense wire so you can't backfeed voltage into the switch. and a mini-relay to cut your remote starters keysense output when the real key is put in.
