Viper 5701 installed in camper. Solar/charging triggers alarm. Help.
Hello. I have a ford e350 (former) ambulance, which I have converted into an 4x4 camper. I had the Viper 5701 with remote start installed a few years ago by a guy off craigslist. The alarm worked well unless I was plugged into 120v power and the inverter/charger is charging the batteries. More recently, I added solar panels with charge controller. The alarm again false triggers and is pretty much useless during the day now. Previous installer pretty much wants nothing to do with it.
Symptom: Alarm full triggers within 20 minutes of either of the chargers starting. It is reported as a Shock Sensor problem.
So, is the brain seeing a voltage drops and/or spikes and it triggers the shock sensor? If so, is there a way to turn off voltage sensing?
The brain is within 2-3" of main power lines (00awg) and lots of other wiring. Too close?
The brain is grounded to a main shared ground block (part of the ambulance electronics). Should the brain have its own unique chassis ground?
Ambulance wiring is sound.
Any other ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unplug the shock sensor and see if the alarm still falses. As for the ground, as long as the ground wire is grounded to a non painted metal surface your fine, if its tied together with another wire sharing the same grounding point, remove it. Reground it on its own.
Shock sensor's work only on impact, they cannot false from voltage increase/decrease.
