Alpine "DC ERROR" problem
Soo I got an Alpine CDE-103BT off a buddy of mine. It says "DC ERROR" on the screen and no sound is coming out, soo I thought that I must of had a bad ground or a short on one of my speakers. Soo to narrow it down, I removed each speaker 1 by 1, and still this error still appears on the screen with no speakers attached to the deck. and no speaker wires touching anything.
I was told that I had to turn back on the internal amp, soo I checked the manual on how to go about doing it, but the "Power IC" option is missing from the menu for some reason... is there anyway to just reset the deck? The internal memory seems to save everything for a very long time with no power at all.
any help would be appreciated

Isn't there a master reset switch behind the faceplate that you have to push with a pin/pen??
There are a TON of questions & possible solutions flaoting onthe net for this issue. Some say to isolate your speaker baskets from the door/deck, others say its an inherent Alpine issue with CDA-102/103's.
Try looking for shorted wiring, unmount the drivers so they don't touch anything metal and see if that helps. If not, you might just have a P.O.S. for a HU.
