Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD Issue

Okay so I have a Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD double din. I picked this double din up without the harness. I had a Pioneer single din radio laying around and I noticed the harness works with this double din so I began to hook it up in my car. The double din works, but there are a couple of problems I am experiencing.

First, there's no sound on aux. Tried more than one aux wire but it still doesn't work. Second, I hooked up my iPod via the iPod adapter that plugs into the back and I get to go through everything on the iPod, but there's no sound. Also, when I tried playing a DVD with the car parked, I get sound but no picture.

Now im thinking all of these problems may be happening because I don't have the original harness since its one from an old single din. I ordered a harness for this double din through ebay but I just want to make sure it could most likely be the harness before I attempt to rewire it to the harness I ordered.

Thanks.

You have to go through the setup menu to turn the AUX input on.

Your single din harness likely does not have the light green parking brake wire that needs to be engaged to get picture.

Not sure why your iPod isn't working.

I've gone through the settings a million times just to try to fix the aux problem. Both the aux and ipod aren't getting any sound and im pretty sure a usb flash drive connected to the usb port won't have sound either. It has to be one problem that im not figuring out thats causing this.

If you ground the light green wire that is supposed to hook to your emergency brake it will work as well, at least its worked on the past 2 dvd players ive had

I don't think there's a function button but I did turn off the unit and there are settings you won't see if its turned on, so yeah I did go through them as well.

Thanks, I'll try that and see if it helps anything.

Where did you get that plug at? I wanted to use my ipod so I could control it from the unit but if I end up not fixing this issue, I may do this instead.

I didn't see a light green wire. All the wires were joined together so there weren't any left over wires as well. Is that saying I should just replace the harness with the original one? The harness it currently has is from an old pioneer single din so I'm not sure if the wiring would be slightly different or what.

Okay so I did try the RCA wire with the headphone jack at the other end and that also did not work. I plugged it into the AV outputs then turned it on through the settings. There was no sound. I did plug it into the outputs where I plugged my amp into and I do get sound but im not getting anything from my subwoofers.

This is an unusual issue and I'm not sure what could be causing everything but the radio and cd player not to work. -_-
