I guess a few thou worth of Gold makes up for the brass, even though gold is only slightly more conductive than aluminum.
We won't even get into the body of the vehicle which is made of steel with a 3% - 15% rating. Ever wonder why we get ground loops so easily?? Steel is a horrible conductor!!

thats why i use unobtanium for all my wiring. it's 1000x better then silver and never corrodes and doesn't need shielding. though it does cost a bit more.

aluminium cant be souldered with lead/tin soulder. has nothing to do with the aliminium oxide. Corroded copper cannot be souldered either. thats why you use flux.
