I was just wondering what kind of system will fit into this truck? There is very little room behind the seats, I was thinking 2 10's in seperate boxes... one behind each seat?
any ideas would be great
thanks
chris

lots of folks here have Mopar trucks, just take a peek around, and at some profile pics, etc....

2 10s isn't very easy to do... if you do, DON"T get prefab... I have a friend who has one of those trucks, and the shop he bought the boxes from gave him boxes that were right up against his seats, wrecked the surrounds on his subs.

if you're building a box, try to mount the sub on the INSIDE so that they don't hit the seats at high excursion, perfect subs for this are the planet audio NEO series if you can find them (there's someone on the board with 2 8" NEOs for sale if you're interested.)

Take a look over at www.sounddomain.com in the member pages section, do a search for Dodge Dakota and you should find some ideas there.

6.5" components or pointsource in the front doors and a pair of Planet NEO 10's behind the seat in a custom box. Add a good cd player and a amp and away you go.

if it helps I have a reg cab s-10 and 2 12" rockford fosgate subs in there plus had room for 2 kicker amps and a stinger cap! didn't lose much leg room either. allmost anything is doable if you put your mind to it.

I have a reg cab dakota. i took the back molded carpet peice out off the back wall and got about 2 more inches to play with. its still tight but i got 2 rockford hx2 10's and an 800a2 amp behind my seats. still unfinished but its there. you will need very shallow small box 12's if you plan on putting 12's back there. IDQ's should work well.

the kicker solo baric L5s will work good for you, if you dont have a bench seat you can mount a 10 or a 12 inbetween the 2 seats... that looks good , though i havent herd it. but seen lots of that done... i would try a eD sub or maybe something else.. I know i had 2 rf hx2s behind my seat and a box my buddy made, and i had room in the box still.. the truck was a reg cab s10 first gen as well.. so yeah look for your mounting room
