Buy good quality used stuff from this forum, friends or ebay, I would think that big brand names are about the only why to get the best bang for your buck in car audio equipment ie. "you get what you pay for". Thats my experience.

www.ebay.ca

Also, pawn shops are my best friend. I just picked up a pair of JL Audio 10W0s in good condition for $75 (taxes included) ... I find TONS of awesome deals in pawn shops. The only thing is, you usually have to know your stuff to know what's a good deal ... The other day, I spotted a Phoenix Gold QX180.2 for like $110 ... SWR-1040D in near-mint conidtion for $95 ... If I had money, I'd have a garage full of stuff I found at the pawn shops

Just remember, don't get hustled !! Resist any form of pressure and you won't get ripped off ...

To buy something from this forum you simply browse through the for sale portion of the board, if you see something you like you contact that person via email or private messaging or just reply to the thread.

When I browse on ebay.ca I search under "items located in Canada", that way I don't have to worry about customs or brokerage fees. Be careful what you buy on ebay though, it is always a good idea to ask lots of questions and check the feedback. I have not had a bad experience on ebay yet (knock on wood). Those brands that you have listed are not good or reliable. 1st they do not put out the power stated on the amp, second when they get hot or played for a long period of time they will cut off. and third the sound isnt clear either.

The only thing thats good about the Pyramids now adays is that they have look better than before.

as people have stated, go to the FOR SALE section
