Tricks for stopping rear view mirror rattle?

Tricks for stopping rear view mirror rattle?

Seems like 95% of the rattles in my car come from the rear view mirror, Any tricks to get stop it from rattling? Seems to shake a lot

Take it out. I think the law says you have to have side mirrors. Rearview is for pussies. Check your sides and your blindspots regularly.

sometimes its just because its loose. if its not try an aftermarket one or go mirrorless

how to deal with the horror of a rear view mirror shaking...
turn down the volume?
ignore it and stop being a wimp?
duct tape it?

pretty sure in my old car after it fell off it just started getting loose. I took it off one day and there where adjustment screws in it I think. After I put it on again tighter it moved a lot less

small dab of silicone on the mount, tighten it down.
silicone on the adjustment joints (only do this if you're the only one driving the car)
