I'm planning to get the pg xenon 600.1 amp...and probably the jl 12w3...at stores in toronto its about 329..i can probably get it for 300...
but is there a better sub i can get for around this same price range? i really care bout sq but would like it to hit hard...thanks

 

Check the used sections on here, there are tons of good subs to be had for around that price.

 

IMO the IDQ is a better sounding driver and it can get quite loud.

 

exactly...

with 600watts... the 12w3 won't satisfy you... trust me... it's enough but it's missing that extra lil bit...

i just picked up a 12w6v2 in a custom box off someone here for $400...

give the IDQ a try... u won't be disappointed...
