Welcome to the dark side
First thing we'll need is a bit more info. Do you already have equipment that you want to try and compete with, or have you got yourself set to buy something new?
What kind of vehicle do you have?

well here's the thing. i do know a bit about stereos and equipment. my father-in-law owns channels electronics here in orangeville (and happen to have the new termlab) ive hung around there learnin about the equipment and how it works. but unfortunatly theres nobody around there that knows anything about actually competing
yes i do have a stereo already started. i drive a 2001 civic coupe
my stereo consists of
eclipse 8445 deck
lightning audio x1.2000.1d amplifier
kicker 12L7 dual 2 ohm subwoofer
and then not like it matters but i have a fusion amp runnin kicker components
im starting to build my own boxs, the first one i built was to spec according to the kicker website. the 3.25cu spl box...but it was shitti lol
so i asked loud brown kicker colt and he gave me an idea for a box
im a fast learner and a diy kinda guy
so ive got the basics down but still need help.. i know nothing about tuning a box or the differnet categories for dbdrag...various things like that

This sunday will be a great chance for you to learn a few extra things at the test and tune. If you are in the GTA area. check out this thread http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/online/eastern-canada/16734-anyone-doin-any-test-tunes-month.html for time and location. Temlab will be set up.

You have to test and when that is done test again and again and again ect.
Just keep building go to shows see what they are doing and try a couple thos ideals in your car.
That would be the BEST way.
If I am wrong sorry but that is what I did.

If you actually looked around Orangeville hard enough you would be able to find some people that do know about competing in spl...(some of them use to be really good to)there are a few of us around town that have been doing it a for a few years. I know enough to help you...if you dont mind learning from a girl....

Yeah he is one of them...LOL but Id be careful with him. I learned everything by watching the big boys compete and by going to shows and just learning. If you want the experience do the CSPL, its all small shows with none of the big boys, that make you go home with your tail between your legs...only a suggestion. Plus just ask questions...maybe I have to edge cuz I can play dumb and get away with it..Its amazing how boys will tell you stuff when they think that you jsut dont understand.
