I've never understood the thing people have with Denon. It's good, yes. But really this is a mid level brand. It would be nice to see a genuine hi-fi CD transport in car audio. Not that I would buy one, I'm way too cheap for that!

Didn't you say the pioneer piece was audiophile grade. Second to pretty much only Denon (paraphrasing)? But it made your system sound processed? What part of that is audiophile grade? I know the pioneer is good, so maybe it was your car/tuning and not your equipment?

Fozzz pointed my sound was off at Daytona and I managed to adjust it with simply moving the TA value up by one or down by one-can't really remember the values but it was that.

I recall back in the mid-90s when RF came out with their first CD players the design engineer telling me he went through an extensive search for the *best* mobile audio transport on the market. As it turns out, at that time Matsushita made it, and the funny bit was they didn't use it in any of their own products
