REF2.370 vs 360/2
Hey All,
I need help deciding what amp to get.
I have a set of Focal Polyglass 165 vr3 (3-way components) and looking for an amp around $200. I don't want second hand and am open to suggestions.
Looking at Class A/B amps for an SQ set up. Here is what I have been looking at
Soundstream REF2.370 ($160 from techronics.com)
2x 110w RMS @ 4ohms
THD 0.02% (this statistic looks great compared to other amps)
max current draw 40A
JL Audio JX360/2 ($180 from Sonic/Crutchfield)
2x 110w RMS @ 4ohms
THD 1% (a lot higher than the rubicon)
max current draw 50A (this makes me wonder if its underrated)
A local shop suggested
Phoenix Gold RX400.4 ($275 from the shop / $190 from techronics.com)
2x 200w RMS @ 4ohms Bridged
THD - Not specified (i have been told bridging increases THD)
max current draw 50A
Other equipment:
Alpine CDE-HD148BT
