RF Fanatic x crossover placement

RF Fanatic x crossover placement
was wondering since i dont have much room up in my doors or dash to mount my crossovers, could i mount them in the trunk ?
my wires from the amp should be shorter but from there to the speakers would be longer .dont know if this would affect anything power wise.
also the mids for it are 4 inch, would i be able to use a set of 6 inch midbass instead or would this combo not be compatible ?
been reading up on crossovers and componets but its still new to me
thanks in advance for any input

Ultimately the crossover should be as close to the speaker as possible. Most of the time it doesn't matter though.
You have a 4+tw set and want to use a 6.5 instead of the 4? That should be fine - most often the crossover is the same anyway if you buy a 4, 5.25, or 6.5 set.

thanks for the advice dukk. im gonna try with them in the trunk then and see how it goes cause i have wires run from trunk back up to my doors already .as for using the 6.5 instead of the 4inch i guess i can experiment cause they are easy to get at and change if i have to

everything worked and sounds good now except i get a loud pop noise when i change from disc to tuner or turn the hu on or off. my gains on the amps are set the same as before i installed the crossovers too
