I've got an 00 Sunfire GT and I'm having a hard time deciding wtf to do with it, if I went ported I'd tune to near 35hz so this is for daily. I can take out the rear seat and there's enough space for 2 ported 15s, but would it even be worth doing over two 10's or 12's in the trunk? How much of an influence does having the box in your trunk have on everything compared to having it all in the cabin sealed from the trunk (or not?), would you see a hatch-back like response? Which would perform best for an SQL setup? Subs I'm considering are 2 ported TF1s or BTLs, or 4 sealed Eclipse SW8200s (which are considered inefficient but I was happy with 2 on half their RMS, 2 got loowww in the sunfire with 1 cuft each, I have three so I might as well find some use for them cuz they're pretty sweet). Which leads me to ask, if you have four woofers, all facing to the rear, but 2 are firing into the back of the other box, wtf happends, because the only way I'm fitting four sealed 12's into that trunk is with 2 boxes. I wouldn't want the subs hitting the back of the other box either, so I'd probably want both to have a V-shape baffle, but I assume I want to rear-fire? Also just because I heard 2 sealed in my trunk, does something happen to the response if I add 2 more because there isn't as much space in the trunk anymore, if so is this good or bad? Do you want to leave as much remaining space in your trunk as possible, or can you just use all the space and see gains? Someone with a sunfire told me he couldn't get 12's to get louder than 10's in his trunk, which I took with a grain of salt. There's too many options help!
