Mazda 3 dash kit
#1
My gf has a 05 mazda 3 and would like a new headunit to replace the auwful sound of the factory. I was wondering if anyone has seen both the scoshe and metra kits for this veh? Which one looks the best in the veh? She being a girl, is very pickey on the looks.
Thanks, merry christmas

Then buy either one and paint it pink and put little frilly things all along the edges...Both are nice kits.
Take the "sarcasm" there with a grain of salt, I just had to send a employee home who was "sick" for the 6th time this month.

lol, nice one Rob, i should just get that neon string from canadian tire and wrap it around it and call it a day haha. I just didn't want to order it and not be satisfied with the product.
I'll be ordering all this from "starterwiz" on this forum once the decisions are final.
By the way Rob, this is Jay aka "Alpine Guy" on another forum you cruz now and then.

There is the Best Kits model or there is one that I used in the Mazda 3 I talked about before...I dont know who made it or where he got it from, but it was a little different...It mounts the deck up on the top of the dash and leaves the big factory unit in place but non-functional...Unfortunatly I dont have a pic available right now,but I'll see what I can do in the next day or so...

Wow, that looks great! must be a custom? I have done it before on my vehicles, but the gf would feed me to the dogs if i FG'd in her car haha. I do agree she will need more to make it sound good, but basically she wants to start slow, hu first, amp/sub next, then amp/front speakers. I tryed to convince her to do it all at once, but she started on how i spend too much on car audio bla bla so i threw in the towel.
If that kit isn't custom and is available for purchase and anyone knows where to get it i would love a link to getting it please.
Thanks
Appreciate your help.

She doesn't have to do it all at once, but if she is looking mainly for better sound, you should start with something that will deliver that first. Upgrading the speakers first will give you the biggest bang for the buck, will not require any costly modifications, and will not attract theives etc.
