anyone running eclipse xa4000

I was running this amp in my truck to a set of exile xtec65s and a pair of jl 8s all stereo mode and a kenwood deck, my problem was that I would turn the volume up on my kenwood and it would cause the components to pop at a fairly moderate volume.I changed the rca cables to some very expensive monster ones and the problem still prsisted. it drove me so nuts that I eventually ended up buying another amp for the whole system, and now the problem is no longer there, but am not running enough wattage to my components as they are wattage hungry at 175 rms. I really liked the eclipse amp as it was a class d and 125 rmsx4 and did not have the gains set very high on the amp and know I could have gotton so much more sound out of it. anyone experienced this problem???

You didn't really have a problem. The speakers will only handle a certain amount of power with a specific crossover point and you exceeded it. Either raise the crossover point or lower the gain on the amp. Be aware though that at some point the amp may exceed the power handling capability of the speaker regardless of crossover point.
