Speeding tickets

I've won the last six traffic violations in court. Visit
http://www.magma.ca/~fyst/
It has info on how to fight your speeding tickets. One of my tickets was a $460.00 ticket that came with 6 penalty points.
Now that I've sold the '89 Nitroused/supercharged Civic and have myself a Ridgeline, I've slowed down quite a bit. 5 of the 6 tickets were on the freeway as I don't speed on regular roads.

Hm, bummer that we have at least one member of the RCMP on CCA who works the traffic division who will probably make sure his colleagues all read that and the chance for beating the ticket goes way down. At least around here.

I think most RCMP are aware of all the stuff listed. As are most prosecutors, and judges. The amount of people who will take advantage of that info is probably pretty small, especially how lazy people are today, and the fact most can't take the time off work to do all that stuff.

The more people take their cases to court, the more the system gets bogged down. If you receive your court date a year or so from the date you receive your ticket, the chances of winning increase by quite a bit.
If you ever want to see a spectacle for free, you should visit the traffic courts and sit in one one of the sessions. Some of the excuses and rants you hear from people are really funny.

^^ kind of on that topic, the one time I had to go to traffic court to fight a ticket, somebody came up to argue a speeding ticket and the cop who issued the ticket looked like he was barely more than a rookie. the cop was explaining his case to the judge and mid-story, the judge interrupts and asks him if the charge was speed inside a municipality. he said yes, and the judge said that this took place outside a municipality, ticket dismissed. the guy fighting the ticket had no idea, and you could tell the cop was embarrased as hell, didn't even look at the judge, just went and sat down.
