Okay, so I recently got a new car. Well, it's new to me. Anyways, it's a 2013 Mazda 3. I have owned two cars before this one, (2002 Pontaic Grand Prix GTP and then a 2006 Mazda 3) and lucky for me both came with the Bose premium sound.
However, the Mazda I own right now has a very stock sound system. You know those cheap bluetooth speakers you can find at Target, Wal-mart, Officemax, etc; the ones that sound really tinny and awful overall? Well, that's my sound system. I have four speakers in the entire car. I believe in the front doors, they're 6.5" and 5.25" in the back doors.
What I want to do is get four new speakers and add a subwoofer. What brands should I get and how much will the setup cost me? Thanks.

You can get some really decent speakers for not a lot of coin in those sizes.
The PolK DB's are a good choice, they come in both of those sizes and can be had on ebay or crutchfield or Sonics for less than $100.00 per pair.
Also pick up a small 4 channel amp to push them with. Something in the 70-90 Watts RMS @ 4 ohms per channel range.
For less than $400.00 you can have a really good sounding 4 speaker stereo.
Things get a little more complicated when you add the sub, but for another $200 you can do that also with a pre-packaged amplified 10-12" sub

The PolK DB's are a good choice, they come in both of those sizes and can be had on ebay or crutchfield or Sonics for less than $100.00 per pair.
Also pick up a small 4 channel amp to push them with. Something in the 70-90 Watts RMS @ 4 ohms per channel range.
