Old rookie needing new age help

Im a newbe.....not finding info online that I need so off to the forums. I bought a 97 expedition that had a Sony explod stereo and an eclipse 3532 amp. Wife wanted the factory system put back which was great because my old jeep had
a crappy stereo. I removed all of the cables associated with the aftermarket stereo and trying to figure out how to hook everything up. I have all of the speaker wires going from the stereo to the amp, rca cables from the front and rear audio out to the amp. There's a white and orange wire for illumination that I have no clue what do with. Im looking for help on what to do next and what speakers I need.

Thanks! That will come in handy getting the OE stuff in the expedition.

Sill have a couple of questions about the system that came out of the expedition that im installing in my jeep. I tried to wire it up like it came out. All of the speaker wires are ran from
The stereo to the amp. I ran rca cords from front and rear audio out from the sterino to the front and reat speaker hook ups on the amp. The power and ground are hooked up to the factory harness via install kit. There is an orange and white wire coming from the stereo for illimination....whats that for and where does it go? There's a "bus audio In" hook up on the back of the stereo....whats that for?

I have a Sony explod stereo and an eclipse 3532 amp and cant find any installation info online

The orange and white wire from an aftermarket head unit is indeed an illumination wire. It does not need to be used. If you do want to use this wire, it is designed to be integrated into the factory lighting system. You turn on your lights at night and the dash lights come on for example. There may (not always) be a wire in the factory harness that shows +12v when the lights are turned on. That is the wire that the orange white would be connected to.

Ignore them. They're supossed to dim the stereo when you turn your headlights on. I know of nobody that really uses this.
