Cool thanks Yuli, so I guess it is time to start really listening to some tracks that seem to sound better on my setup and see if I can then find the actual CD. It has to be store bought and not burnt correct?

i think the easiest thing might be to overlook the no burnt cd's rule and hope everyone plays fair and doesn't add bass to their track, i mean, nobody here is that much of a douchebag right? however, my question now is does this mean the noobs pay $22 or just $2? or is it like $2 plus food, cuz the flyer said $20 entrance fee but the rules post said amateur challenge for $2. i'm confused ...hmm, if burnt cds are banned i wonder how many people are going to buy carter 3 and play a milli

its $2 extra. you can add all the bass to your tracks you want, it wont help you. it's all frequency dependant. bass boosts dont gain anything at all.

what you need to do is get a song that has good bass, load it into a program like fruity loops, pro tools or reason. Now in the 30sec section of the song you want to use for the comp you load in a 20-60hz sweep, or the Hz that you know works best in your situation sweeps are easier to hide . Then you hit record and then burn, there is your secret track which is why burned CD's arent allowed would be my guess.
