I gotta say love the classified section of this site but can not make anyone offers on there gear, Kind of lame you need to make 10 post before i can offer up my hard earned cash, Think you need to look at changing this rule. And there is my beef lol, having to wait before i can be separated from my money :eek:

I think we should change it as well. How does 100 sound? :D

haha funny guy, i just believe it puts members at a determent that would like to purchase and sell goods. Many times i ran a search and up pops this forum with the items for sale and then to find out it is seemingly difficult to actually contact said member for goods. just saying better for members trying to liquidate there goods. my opinion is all.

If you have to make 10 posts before you can pm and are interested in purchasing something, then make a post in the thread saying you are interested. I'm sure a seller would be willing to work with you on figuring something out even if you can't private message them.

As for it being a deterrant to those looking to sell goods, who cares? If you join a site simply to post a for sale ad, people, in general, are going to be wary of buying from you anyway.

I am back to being a new member but rules are rules for PM or selling goods!

I don't want to sell anything, i just want to buy as there is a ton of great stuff, replying to a post in classifieds has been turned off as i have tried that rout already.... i would totally buy something a new user posted if it was a good find. I have found a tone of great stuff sometimes people just looking to make some cash.... o well matters not as soon some lucky people get to part me from my money wahoooo only a couple more to go!!!!

Reality is if you have any real interest in car audio you should be eager to engage in some of the discussions and 10 posts come fast. If someone joins solely to buy and sell through the PM system and not contirbute to the board, well those aren't the members we are looking for.

See now, you reply to me saying: "That makes sense." and now you are at 10 and did it legitimately :)

man i saw a beef section and i wanted some posts so i could pm someone to purchase some stuff. I just posted something random about a post count because was annoyed i could not buy something.. i also work 50plus hours a week running a very large business mostly 6 days a week. I have very little time to chat and read. I would much rather use my spare time out and about enjoying my time with friends actually listening to the things i had just purchased. I have an interest in audio and know what i want to buy when i want it. I would rather not have to sit here and waste yours and my time writing nonsense about post counts but i needed to in order to pm someone for something i wanted. thus here we are. Great now i can buy something i wanted. Have a good day
