2012 upcoming seasan , ideas

what does everyone want to see for 2012 , i personally would like to see larger turnouts , more sponsors , more shops support , I think in order for this to happen everyone needs to come together , im willing to throw down some prizes again , judge events for free , whatever thats needed i can do commit to , also I will be doing another show at elevated avu in victoria bc once again , last years show was a huge hit 30 cars , spl , sq , and car show , to me that show was a huge success and we want to have an even bigger show this year , im trying to get a team going , i can offer competitor pricing as well as termlab time , I think the shows need as much advertisment as posible , i really want to see all the shops bringing cars out again , its always fun to see 4 or 5 shops bring cars to the events and go toe to toe , also more games to get the crowds envolved

lets here everyones plans or ideas , lets make this year a success and get car the shows rolling again

I think shop support is always a big thing. Especially when shops bring out cars, and customer's cars to the shows. This is key to having large turnouts.

exactly , thats what makes it fun , every shop brings their best , they bring all their customers cars , and go head to head with other shops , its nice to seee this happen all year long

to grow this industry we need more guys to get interested in our hobbie.. once interested they will spend money at kieths shop and then he will have more money to support these shows. now as i see it most of us have a significant other and we have to keep them happy as well so we need something for them as well.. so my solution would be have the shows but also offer a wet t-shirt contest for the girls.. sorry dukk you cant entre. and give good prize money.. this will certainly bring out the guys, and hopefully some more fans... just a thought... not a good one but a thought none the less! or have a beer garden with burgers and dogs...

you are right with BIG $$ bringing out the competitors, however, with so many classes(in ANY sanction) it will be hard to even think about coming close to breaking even.

pre-2006 there were a large amount of shows, with large amounts of competitors, with large cash payouts......why did this change??? I see lots of money around. I see lots of people blasting their stereos....idk

my thoughts are to combine stereo shows with other things. ie: rooted car shows like the revscene meets, or driven to perform, or in conjunction with the street legal drags in mission, or friday nights at timmies in langley(with all the cruizers) or something along those lines....your chances of getting a better turnout are greater if there is other options to do stuff....not just watch stereos burp for 3 seconds.
