The store is in a strip mall. TONS AND TONS of parking. If you need power I will put you in the corner and you can set up a tent. I will plan out the parking and reserve some spots for those I know are coming.

Street DreamsCC 09-05-2007 11:30 AM

Yuli, you will have to remind me like tomm. night or Friday. You want those or Newports? If I remember I will bring them Saturday

Street DreamsCC 09-05-2007 11:30 AM

I know for a fact the Caravan will be there and I am trying to finish up the Yukon so it is ready. Both could use power. (thank you we do appreciate it)
As for my van, if I can get the NSB90 fixed so I can use it I will be up to up my certified.

Prolifik 09-05-2007 11:55 AM

NTOXKTD 09-06-2007 08:27 AM

Anynone want to guess how many competitors we will have.

I have 17 classes and trophies for all of them. Top 2 in each classes will get a really nice trophy. 3rd place will receive a medal.

That is 54 prizes.

crash2000 09-09-2007 02:31 PM

well I attended the event, and wasn't sure what to expect, being my first...

wasn't nothing special but will go to an event again, not sure what i expected, seemed to be alot of people hiding there gear, not showing it off.

anyways congrats to the winner, and expect to see me at other shows, i need to sweep my car, see where it performs best.

Street DreamsCC 09-09-2007 05:06 PM

was it raining up there?

Every show I went to canadians always had thier stuff out in the open.

I know I got done with the Yukon about 1:30am and was getting up at 6 to head up. But during the night we had alot of rain and it cut power so I never got up in time to make it there.

crash2000 09-09-2007 05:34 PM

arrived around 1pm'ish, nothing being tested, 90% of the cars were closed up tight...

some had there trunks popped but lowered...

I headed towards the harley truck, to see what was going on but got distracted, and turned around.

only vendor I saw was pasmag, the termlab table, and of course the stereo shop...

curious spl combs, don't care much about the bling factor, saw cars with tin foil, plastic pipe, etc...

forgive my ignorance

Street DreamsCC 09-09-2007 05:39 PM

the tin foil helps reflex some airpressure where there is usually voids like screw holes etc, the pcv tubing is a quick way of making ports round, in smaller cars in street classes completely rounded are aero ports for the air to come out of the box.

I think around 1 they were still on a break.

Prolifik 09-09-2007 07:16 PM

no body was really hiding anything, i had mine wide open for everyone to see (black crx)

Prolifik 09-09-2007 07:17 PM

was one of the best events this season, btw.

influenced 09-09-2007 07:38 PM

definately another great show, theres not much to "show off" as most installs are uglier than a manhandled redheaded step-child... as for "hiding" equipment, i've never run into that, all you really need to do is go up to the owner and ask to see what they've got.

I came away with some new ideas for next season and the usual support from the regulars, time to tear it down and start again :)

beginning of season: 132.1
end of season 147.5

Thanks for a great season

Ray 09-09-2007 07:39 PM

jonesbrooklyn 09-10-2007 09:48 AM

this is the first time that I've ever heard that competitors were locking up their cars. I was there competing and I've been doing it all season and believe you when I tell you that no one has ever hidden their setup from me or from anyone else for that matter. All you gotta do is ask and practically everyone will even explain their setup to you. This isn't the U.S. where some(not all) guys will not show you their setup.

On a different note, awesome show yesterday. Hats off to Richard Wade, Chris and Mel Barlcay and Prolifik for his end of year awards. I had a blast. With this being my first full year I learned alot from people, met new friends which I know will last long after my spl years are done. Cheers.:smokin:

Well,, I for one don't usually lock up my vehicle at a show,, but my truck is for show, so it's opened up,, but I don't leave anything that someone can just take.

I would say if someone has their audio car locked up is because they may not want you to know their sub box design.

Other than that, I think they wouldn't want stuff to go missing:

On the other hand,, at a recent show or shows, a team mate of mine, one of his amps was tampered with, as in one of the amps gains was turned down.

The hatch of the car was left open and no one was around and lots of people checking the system out.

So, locking up vehicles may become more common at future shows.

BobOnAir 09-12-2007 10:36 AM

And another note about box design:

If you have a design that is giving you the edge, and it is legal,, then it should stay your secret.

If you break a record, or set a new high score, and your car is audited and passed, then the judge should be bound not to reveal your design.
