59.9 Bassrace?
what would it take to bassrace in that class. i have a whole full size bed to play with. a walk through is needed i know but how much power and how many/size subs. i think i may make that my winter project. lemme know
with all do respect, you dont have the money, nor knowledge for that matter to bassrace 59.9 class.
money is printed everyday man. as for knowledge the internet is a wonderious thing. im just throwing the idea out there hoping for responces on the subject. IF i could do it for 6-8K i would consider it.
It would be tough to do it with that power IMO but if you had a crazy amount of cone area it may be possible :dunno:

i'm really not trying to be a dick. i would tell you straight up if i was. take all the guys who 59.9 right now... frankie rio, bob pirello, pipo, a-team jimbo. these guys have put COUNTLESS hours into there vehicles. basically, there lives depend on car audio. I think for that budget, you can have a mean 49.9 bassracer, which means you're doing 153's on music, which is a hell of an accomplishment. |
my current build should do 53's on music. well i hope it will at least. one project at a time i guess. maybe i should get my front stage in order too then. suggestion to keep up with 4-15's in a 6th with a 36hz peek?
That's one hell of a 6th order... Make it big, strong, and make sure you have an electrical system that will feed them woofers a few hundred amps!
built and designed for only 2k daily. tripple baffle double walled. its actually a horn in a blow through. started planning a front stage tonight. need to get all my ducks ina row though.
ofr alts i plan on running 2 maybe more 21SI transport alts and as many batteries as i can fit. 320A ALL DAY LONG. build should start next week so ill be posting up pics then.

Think of it this way,
Jimbo's set up is 8 DC 15" level 4 XLs 4 11Ks a LOT of batterys (8-10) Thousands of pounds of wood, body filler, and paint. Built down roof, built up floor, and doors that are breaking the hinges. All of this and the door skin is still tearing like paper. This is 6-8 thousand in amps alone, plu sabout 500 per sub, and about 350 per battery. Not including and materials this is $13 K It takes a lot to get there. |
