What is an amateur?

As it is our responsibility, AMP has been left with no choice but to define between amateur and pro. We have recently discovered that there are many competitors that fall somewhere in the middle. We do not have an intermediate class available at this upcoming event and therefore have decided to bump those into pro if they choose to compete. We will consider intermediate for future events if it is in high demand.

As it stated on the flyer, judges can bump who they choose. We have decided to tighten up our amateur rules due to all of the chaos over the reality of a true amateur. We strongly believe that even if it is your first year competing, we may find that you are not a true amateur due to the people that you know. We apologize for any convenience but we judge FAIR!

A true amateur ...

5) They don't have a remote
4) They play music and sweeps for the full 30 seconds
3) When they find out that holding may help you gain, you will see 15 people on the car probably causing loss
2) They consider 140 db's REALLY loud
1) They bye their equipment at XS Cargo

Intermediate

5) They use their remote
4) They play a single frequency
3) They hold certain spots on the vehicle to gain
2) They hit over 145 db's in Street and Stock
1) They get their equipment and enclosures from pros

We do apologize for any inconvenience to you but we have no choice. If you have any further questions, please feel free to pm us.

If you are asking us if you are an amateur, then chances are... you aren't! Why would an amateur ask such a silly question?

We are FAIR! Now ask yourself; Are you?
