when i walked around in the first place wich i didn't do much of that day (one of the reasons why MTA was pissed at me was "you were always back there with eric and your friends from quebec" wich is you remember i was all the way in the back ... the only time me n marc walked around was to meet everyone and say hi to all ... and the only FUSION equipment i saw anyhow at that time wasnt yours but some other competitors !! as for the kenny remark and about DD ?!?!? are you nuts me saying DD sux ya right come on don't stretch it!! and that i'll beat him ??? when i know his 159.7 score at 3x are you insane?? "Then yaniv went into the lanes against chris checko and did an unsportsmanlike thing after he beat him in not to many words he said " i told u i would hand him his ass" which was heard by many ppl. A few runs later i went up against yaniv in bass race where he was once again unsportsmanlike when i had equipment failure he said see that cheap blows up theres nothing wrong with my product gloating and bein really loud." <--- now to this : after the burp ya i pointed to sam and never denied this but was seen as pointing at cecco but for you to come n say that i said those words ?? really are you insane ... i went up to cecco myself after the run and the comments ppl said bout my gesture and explained directly to him wich he in return said no prob.. as for the bass race thing i was pissed bout your comment (something your denying having said "go back to your country" wich came way before we got in the lanes together) and made it personal to beat you and show you that this "other country" does have a place at the competitions (i agree maybe lil childish but in the heat of the moment happens) ... "Then recently at the Barrie 2x yaniv went around telling ppl i wanted to punch out eric which i didnt even know at the time my problem was with yaniv. There at the show yaniv showed up with 4 amps to try and humiliate chris checko whos still techically owns yanivs amps. " <--- as for this one : the comment about you or another wanting to punch out whomever i wasn't even aware of any of this till monday when jeff told me about this on the phone so don't go ing false rumors!! (and if you can back this up let those i supposetly told this to speak up!) ... i showed up with 4 amps to try n get a final certified score for finals (amps i had sitting in my office for over 2-3 months!! ... didn't want to hook them up till real close to finals) yet again an unfunded remark ... as for him owning them no no you even copied my pm to you so its quite clear ... |

this stuff really bothers me ... as well as others im sure......
there are way too many (beifs) on here as yuli would say and it is getting really frustrating!! when it comes to me (a guy who try's to promote the industry and bring back db drag) i am truly disheartened when i think about what im doing!! i want to run shows but i am almost afraid that peoples bickering and fighting may cause drauma and fights at my shows!!! so let me ask everyone this...... what are you competing for? is it to enjoy a sport that brings you new friends and lots of smiles, or to create bias towards others and make them enemies? i have had my fair share of tiff's on here and i now realize that i am doing no good for our cause and i am only going to hurt our industry further.... i understand why both of you are upset.... and i know that you both have alot of pride but damn..... in the longrun does it really matter that much??? not to make it into a small matter... but i am just trying to put it into perspective how we can resolve instead of antagonize.... both of you guys are passionate competitors and great people and i hope this is resolved easily and with little confrontation.... hopefully this helped.... if not i tried |

Someone in the backround said go back to your own country which wasnt me because john wolak was running my vehicle i was no where near the vehicle this is where mark from team xmax looked over and gave me a look like he wanted to have a physical confrontation with me.Then recently at the Barrie 2x yaniv went around telling ppl i wanted to punch out eric which i didnt even know at the time my problem was with yaniv. Later on yaniv found out that nick cimino lent chris checko 2 amps i over heard yaniv call nick a traitor for lending chris the amps this is when i talked with chris checko and his brothers about what he said to nick where at this point i was informed by chris checko that yaniv still had an outstanding balance to him for the amps he is using. So if thats not proof enough coming straight from the horses mouth then what is............. Thanks for clearing things up. I'm glad we could get this worked out without things getting too out of hand. I hope there's no hard feelings, there certainly aren't any from my side! |

C'mon we are all grown up people here, and words are better used to solve problems than fists, and moreover, we all do this sport for fun. If there is no more fun to do with dBDrag racing, well, we may as well turn to stamp collections... And if diplomacy fails, well you can always use Lane 1 and get your adversary in lane 2 to settle the feud and let the TL do his job. However i'm glad that people had chances to express themselves on some issues that happened and to clear things up. And i approve the SPL Reality Show, should be fun! Regards Marc |
I think it's time we ALL grow up. (and yes that includes myself)
I wasn't going to post anything on this, but after reading it again and again and again I feel it's time for me to break my silence. I think we can all agree THIS IS A HOBBY, often people refer to this as a SPORT but it is really a hobby. Hobbies are what people do in there spare time to not only entertain themselves but to have fun. (and spend money lol). We are all taking everything too seriously these days and need to get back to our roots of having fun, several things have happened over the past few weeks, some incidents have happened. Unfortunately somehow I got involved with some of them, but that is another unpleasant story which I will not go into. But I will say none of this needed or should have happened. Let's just all take a step back and remember why we all started to do this, it's for fun. If your super competitive and can't take loosing, then this hobby is probably not for you. EVERYONE looses, noone has a perfect record. A perfect example is Alan Dante, while he talks too much for most people's liking, is he currently the loudest on the planet -- look at his stats page, he hasn't always been loud and hasn't always won! Like I said before, it's time to get back to our roots, goto a show, and have a good time. If you win, then awesome! If not, shake the hand of the person who beat you - congradulate them. Then talk to them, share pointers and tips. Share experiences, share jokes, get to know each other. In the long run if we help each other out, it will benefit everyone. Most people in Europe are friends and help each other out, and share ideas, they are dominating almost every class in dbdrag. It's time we learn from the best. I understand why there is some hesitation behind this -- but -- this needs to be a 50/50 proposition, both peopleneed to bring ideas to the table, not just a 1 way conversation. Over the past few months, I have spent lots of time and money trying to develope my dbdrag judging setup, I am trying to do all I can do for everyone to try to make this hobby do good in Canada again. I even gave up competing so there would be a judge in Eastern Canada. I want my judging setup to grow but unfortunately I'm not rich :) it's grows from 1 show at a time. I know I do not have a Sam Horn setup, but I am trying!! So lets all take a step back from the BS and re-evalute why we do this. This post was not meant to insult anyone or call anyone out, I hope it did not come across that way. |
Y'know what... I think Chris has hit the nail RIGHT on the head. So I'm going to close this post on a positive note. (for once!)
If you guys want to start another thread to congratulate Yaniv then go ahead. But I'd like to leave Chris' post as the last 'legitimate' one in here as a bit of a reminder to everyone about the FUN this is all supposed to be. :thumbsup: |
