other amps you might wanna look into is
audioque
soundigital
stetsom
americanbass
DC Audio now has amps.
Digital Design? <---nopt sure if they have amps or not
wow actually drawing a huge blank. there are a lot more and you might be able to fall into that 2000 mark. try sound digital they have an amp for like every wattage and they are very good and can run off of low power.
caraudioclassifieds.org <--- go there and go to soundigital forum and murilo has TONS of information written on them
There are also tons of other name brand amps these are just well known ones there is also kicker, alpine, jbl, pioneer, sony, mtx, ect. ect. but most of those you can go test in stores and they are usually over priced.
Also enterting a smaller class like street stock you wont have to worry about how many runs of 0 gauge you got. where has something that has like 5000 watts you need a few runs with a good battery.
some used amps you might wanna look into that keeps you under 2000 watts:

get any idea on what you wanna do and let everyone know and everyone will be throwing deals out at ya. i dont think i paid full price for ANYTHING i bought in my bottom list. Except for the battery.
another thing this saturday there is a show in ottawa. not a real dB drag event but there is an spl comp and i will see if my body will bring his laptop and you can see what your current setup is hitting for free. send me a pm.
btw i am not a pro i am just beginning so my knowledge is very limited but i was in your shoes about 2 months ago deciding what class to enter what to buy where to get it how much it was soo i can help you with that stuff at least .

Don't worry about what class you're going to be in. Just show up and run whatever you have. If you're going to bring your daily setup then you're most likely going to end up doing Bass Race as well, which is way cooler anyways. If you're trying to do full out spl then worry about the class you fall into unless your build is done according to the rules.
But even then, the classes with huge numbers have them because there are pros putting in a lot of work. Rarely are you going to see a daily system in street classes putting up huge numbers. Even in some of the street stock classes are guys who have spl systems built around the giudelines of said classes, so a guy with half the power of what you're running might have everything dialed in to beat you. If you worry too much about that then you're just going to end up with a bruised ego. This is a recurring issue when trying to get new guys to come out to shows, they don't want to get spanked by 10 dbs, and then they don't understand how bassrace works and lose that too and go away upset and on a vengence to be the loudest at their Tim Horton's and exaggerate their 135 into a 200, never to return.
If you're going to come to a show and compete just read the rules and figure out how it all works and assume nobody will be in your class. Then when you do show up start looking for some of the familiar vehicles talked about on the forum and introduce yourself. Or you could talk a lot of smack on the forum and then go to every show and get wrecked, just be a man about it and come back next time and try to win again.
