whats SQI and SQC stand for? I figure its sound quality something the but the I and C baffle me. and whats Bass Race?

In SQI, "I" is for install. In this class you are judged on the sound quality of your system AND the installation. In SQC, "C" is for challenge. In this class, only sound is judged. This is done so that cars will more modest installs have an even playing feild against big dollar ones. Only sound counts.

As of now this show appears to be the furthest north IASCA show of the year. The next show scheduled will be in the Cambridge area so for all my northern friends I will see u in Orangeville.

Every show is ok for a newbie. LOL We all were at one time, and you will find that just about everyone will help you out if you ask. :smilie_da I will be there as well as a few of the veterans who will gladly spend some time with you. I have less than $1500 in my system and have come 2nd in SQI last 2 shows. In the rookie class install just has to be safe, not pretty. As long as stuff is not flying around and making sparks, you should be good. The 2nd time is easier, just take your score sheet and fix the stuff you lost points for. My 1st try I didn't do too well as I blew a midbass just before judging. Came dead last. Fixed everything up including install and took 2nd place on 2nd try. Don't be afraid to come out and give it a try, you never know. :smilie_da I have a bunch of trophies that prove even a newbie can do well.

BTW thanks again Jason.

IF YOU PLAN TO DO BOTH SQ AND SPL HAVE YOUR SQ JUDGING DONE FIRST!!

This way it doesn't affect your SQ score if you blow a speaker during SPL. I know this from experience. :stroke: Twice LOL Blown 2 midbass drivers after forgetting to turn them off. :appl:
