Ahhhh, i wouldn't advise that if i were you... from what i've read in this thread, you were the first AND he WAS questioning ABOUT MORE INFO on the car and what the guy wants. We are all grown people and some of the people on this forum seem to act like they "Know It All" and from what i see is that most of the people from central canada can talk the talk but don't walk the walk, i see it that if someone doesn't like someone for what they have said or asked then they get banned from this site. I think people should just chill and enjoy life and let things go... WE ALL (that means each and every one of us) enjoy car audio and should use critisism constructively, thats my 2 bits.

Yes you can hook up a aftermarket deck in a G6. I don't know about yours but I do know that my G6 has messages that come through the factory radio saying that cruise is engaged, and also for the retractable hardtop. There are companies out there that make faceplate adaptors (which you will need because the radio in the GM is double din I think and so you will need to put the adaptor in so a single din deck will fit) that have electronics in them that can dechipher and display the message on a little screen in the faceplate adaptor so you don't loose that functionality. I thik that they also retain the ability to tell you your MPG and all that other good stuff that is built into the car and displayed through the stock radio
oh I can't remember the company that makes them but I beleive there are two differant companies out there and if you search you should be able to find them. Especially if you go to G6 Performance • Portal there will probobly be more info on it
