I am new to the car audio field and I am very interested in learning new things. I was wondering if anyone knows how to hook up more then one battery at a time. I am pulling to much power from my one battery and need more power. Any help in all areas would be greatful information. Thank

The first thing you will want to do is upgrade "the big 3" ... do a search on the main forums and you will find out how to do it.

Next you will want to add a 2nd battery. Make sure your power wire is fused and put the battery in the trunk (or where ever you want) then wire them in parallel.

You will then just hook your amps directly to the back battery rather than the front.

You may also want to look at getting an upgraded alternator.

btw.. welcome to the Forums.

first I would recommend upgrading the front(stock ) battery to something a bit bigger ... then you can decide if you need to put in a secoond battery...and also upgrade your wiring 1/0 power and ground run to the back is a really good way to get lots of power to the back of the car to an amplifier,I also recommend upgrading your alternator wiring to the battery and your battery ground to the chassis... both will work best using 1/0 cable

btw..what car are you using?

I am driving a 1991 cavalier.

Also try out different box designs/sizes/tuning.

I gained 3.5db just by changing the design

I just got two new slot port boxes. And the car is an RS with a Z24 kit on it. Adam Metcalf made them and they really slam hard now. It made a big difference.

Just a comment you missed.

When buying a secondary battery do not just add it too the exsisting one. Replace the main battery at the exact same time as you place the secondary one in the system. Use the same brand also.

This is regardless of the condition of your current battery.
