Thanks to everyone that braved the insanely cold conditions and came out to support the show! The hot chocolate was really popular. Some just didn't want to let it go! http://www.insanehertz.com/gallery/a...0001.sized.jpg [ January 11, 2004, 12:14 AM: Message edited by: chaos ] |
I don't see Chris in that picture? Where is he? Man, too bad he didn't stick out a little more.

Wow - that's the only word I can think of to describe this show. We weren't expecting the turnout we got, but we were more than happy we got it! We had people come from Windsor, Kingston, Belleville and New York - just to name a few. We gave out around $200 worth of prize money away, although at first that may not seem much, the entry fee was only $15, and that was to only 3 classes (well 4, but one of the classes only had 1 person in it). We also gave away many prizes donated by X-Terminator. There was hot chocolate and fire to help keep people warm! We suffered a few equipment problems, but this effected no competitor in any way! We also had what seemed like to be many new competitors, as well as many veteran ones. The atmosphere was a kind friendly one, where it felt like everyone knew everyone.
I would like to personally thank everyone who showed up to support this show. All the competitors were great, we didn't have a single complaint that we know of (besides people a few blocks away feeling the loud bass ;) ), I would also like to thank the spectators who showed up, with all the people it really helped warm up the place! On a side note I do think I owe a few special thanks for support to a few people, so in no particular order: Maximum Threshold, Dave Mackinnon, Rob Watt, Jon Chiasson, Jeff Howell, DAN FERA (oh man who thought your big mouth would come in so handy! JK - THANKS!), Chris and Paul from Perfect Tones, Erin, Sara and the fine staff from X-Terminator. - For all those that came out for the post-show fun, I hope you enjoyed the free drinks ;) THANKS AGAIN TO ALL FOR HELPING THE FIRST CANADIAN DBDRAG OF 2004 TO BE A GREAT SUCCESS!!!! If anyone attended and has any questions, comments, complaints or concerned, please email me about them! cabarclay@cogeco.ca Please visit http://www.insanehertz.com for updates on when the next show will be! It was a great turnout, especially for the fact that it was freaking cold. I had the heat on full the whole way, and was still cold!
I am impressed that so many braved the cold weather to get some points and have some fun! Kudos to everyone involved! |
Tyler went? (From Belleville) Did he bring the guy that cried about being beaten by ag url? lol
