Is there any shows in the Red Deer area this year?

If you mean Edmonton or Calgary...then yes. Close enough to Red Deer in my opinion. You sometimes have to drive to attend shows, but that just adds to the fun.

I think this year we will be having more than a few 1X shows in Calgary, and atleast a 2X show mid year. As for Red Deer there is always a Visions show in the mix somewhere.
