Well....that's about it. The title says it all. It's Red Ball Radio's annual event. It's on Fathers day (as per usual) June 20 2004. It isn't a dbdrag or iasca event, we run the event solo.

It is usually a very fun event with giveaways and is held in conjunction with our annual summer blast sale. The event is sponsored by Sony Mobile and we have trophies for 1st 2nd and 3rd in all classes. The spl portion is ran along iasca idbl rules and classes.

Moe ran the mic last year and who knows....if he is nice enough, possibly this year (Moe...give me a call at the store or home)

It is held at our store at 6 North Front Street in Belleville, ON. It's 1 hr west of Kingston or 2 hrs east of Toronto off the 401. You can call me directly at the store durring the day - 613-962-1333 or 1-800-363-1100. Or anytime in the evenings at home 613-394-6992 (preferably before 10:00)

If you reply and I don't reply, email me at happy_mcslappy@sympatico.ca

Thanks again and cya there

If possible, i'd recommend trying to make it a IASCA or dbdrag certified event ;) it often increases the turnout substancially

Not to piss anyone off, but we don't want it to be a sanctioned event. We hold the event for OUR customers. If we have more people come, that's fine. We love seeing them. It's a sales event and aimed at our current customers and other future customers in the area. I like going to events and competing, but some just do it to get to finals. That's fine. Nothing wrong with that, but ours is a fun ordinary old-fashioned event.

Fair enough.. I just find the people that are going to show up will show up either way, but with a sanctioned event you get the extra people as well..

But good luck with your show! Hopefully if I'm not working I'll take the trip up!

</font>
Have you ever been to Red Ball Radio? its in a very 'crowded' location lol I was gonna go last year just to see where they fit everyone and if they closed off a section of the road. So in a way it would be hard to get A LOT of people to turn out that could be another reason lol

I'll probably show for this one.

Pretty far away.

We go every year, and it is a fun show!!
It is tight for space, and you often lose your parking spot when you go up to get metered.
But other than that; it is a pretty cool show.

Tinted: sorry you feel that way. Oh well. It's your loss.

Everyone else: we are trying yet again to get the street shut down for the event. The city said no last year, so my idea was to have our event in conjunction with a gay pride parade. With the recent gay issues in the news, we would get the street shut off for sure. kidding

However, for the event we have our lot, the lot of Goodyear Tire beside us (our pavement runs clear across both buildings) Budget rent-a-car and the government building across the road. It is tight. But it always works out. We average between 30 and 50 competitors per year. Last year was supposed to rain all day, but it ended up being hot and sunny as hell.

However, given all that, it's still a well ran event if I must say so myself. Everyone has a good time. And to all those who came last year, we will have much better trophies this year (last year we ended up with the wrong size cup-style trophies. I am currently using one left over as a shot glass/drinking glass) Fairly pathetic.

u see it's not that. since u said u trying to hold this show for your customers i just dont think it would be that fair for me to enter either way. a show for locals should be just that, a show for locals. they shouldnt go against ppl who are in the ranks to make it to world finals. This is how i felt when i just started out and I still think it's true.
