Vancouver/BC guys, where do you buy cheap 3/4' mdf?

Title says it all, where do you guys buy your MDF?

Need a regular 4foot by 8 foot sheet and a second 4 foot by 4 foot sheet, where do you guys usually go to get your wood for your boxes? Home depot seems like a rip off!

HomoDepot or Rona. I check both. Make sure you are comparing the same grade of MDF though.

How much did you pay per sheet usually?

Tried that, apparently they're crazy busy and no one in that department will take my call rofl. Oh well, try again tomorrow.

Always had good success with Windsor Plywood locations. Not too sure if there is one near you however.

Somewhere around $22-$25 a sheet I think, seems reasonable to me.

^ yeah. Depends on the time of year and what you are getting.

like 32+tax for a sheet of 3\4". Go in the back and see if they got half sheets already cut. Then they will give you a deal of it. I usually pay under the table in the back and get half sheets real cheap. And could get 1" mdf as well. All from rona.

I've found that rona's mdf is usually stored outside(under cover), and swells a bit. they will match each others price. I think I pay $32 a sheet(little bigger than 4x8). you can also buy 4 x 4 sheets at home depot, but they are like $22 or something. better off to get a full sheet, and have left over for mistakes, extra baffles, etc. both places will also cut your board down to size for you too. I find that good screws are the costly bit, compared to the board, but I can't complain over the results compared to pre-fab....
