Where to buy ID in Calgary
You can order them online without problems. Cardomain or image dynamics store. Unless you wanna audition them first, but trust me, and others will attest, those speakers need no introduction. My advise is to stay away from bottomfeeder ID, and go for IDQv2/v3 or IDmax. Amazing speakers!!!
On my recommendation, my buddy got one 12" IDQ with 350-400 wrms on Audioson monoblock. He did not expect such good performance from this combo.

One of the site sponsors is an Image Dynamics dealer, if I remember correctly. I'll double check for you.

Sucks for the local dealers, sucks for us.
Maybe if someone would step up and start distributing at least a couple of these lines it would be easier to "support your local retailer"
I could have sworn that there are 4 or 5 Resonant Engineering dealers in Alberta. Is that not the case? eD doesn't have a dealer network (though you can buy their products through Portimex) and ID's dealer network has always been relatively limited, though they at least presented options to you via SoundDomain (who is no longer an authorized dealer; they have been replaced by WoofersEtc).

It is difficult these days for your local shop to carry anything high end. People always want a better deal. Online buying is popular. Low end gear can be had at Best Buy, Etc. Big chain will beat out the little guy. Local shops have it hard. Their main business may be installs...

I checked earlier this summer, and most of RE's Alberta dealers seem defunct.
I seem to recall that there were three listed:
Ft mac - no answer to several calls during business hours on random days
Calgary - shop no longer there, no phone book listing
Lethbridge (iirc) - no answer, same as ft mac.
Buying through Portimex (no offence Portimex) is damned expensive, I'd rather take my chances with shipping it myself if I have to buy online anyways.
Mike, I am getting my business license and looking at opening a non audio shop, but no details till I get things a bit more sorted.
