3) First ever show at Kjohn last April and taking home 2nd in both Street A and 139.9 bassrace.

2) Filling my car with smoke at the Whitby show when I blew the JL components in my doors.

1) Filling my car with smoke at the December Kjohn show after smoking one of the 2 Visonik subs from XS cargo while doing 141.8 on music with them.

Other highlights, meeting a bunch of new friends, learning a bunch of stuff I thought I knew already.

The visoniks was pretty funny, and impressive, but isn't that the wrong smoke? Or is that why you're 420guy? Lol the clarions back yet?

Yeah there was lots of the other smoke, but that was at every show so not that memorable. LOL The Clarions are going to be getting a new SPL box built for them to see if I can unleash some sonic destruction for Street stock B. The 141.8 with the Visoniks showed me the Clarions should be able to get to a 144+ with the right box. I am hoping I don't take the crown away from Ross this year as the king of the blown up gear. LOL

I'll get the low point for the year out of the way first: Having my home sewer drain crushed by a tree root and plug completely on Aug. 15th....the resulting water damage meant most of the furniture and walls and the entire floor in my basement got ripped out to be replaced. All of my used gear was stored well above water level but the insurance people packed it up on me and I still don't have it back yet.......:knock_tee

Didn't get much in the way of installs done this year in the driveway......see above for why.....just means I have lotsa stuff to install in the spring.....

Hilites:

3: Going to more of the local and not-so-local shows....met new friends, heard and looked over some really nice systems and discovered Bass Race....:D

2: Won 129.9 BR at the Barrie show....not too many others in the comp but I did like that trophy.......

1: Won 129.9 BR at the second KJohn show.....had to do twice as many runs this time.....if it keeps up by the end of next summer 129.9 may need it's own meter at all the shows.......:smilie_da

Looking forward to the coming season.......it's been refreshing getting into competing, I never worried about all-out SPL comps but I do like the BR program......:smokin:

Thanks to everyone I met over the summer for making it fun......again......:appl:

2.SPLTV in every epic show... the rain.. sun.. cold!!

1. D.Q'ed for deck/dash falling out midd burb..... PFFFFFFFFFF. worlds biggest piss off.

Mine are a little more personal i suppose lol, and since i havent been around the game for too long ive only really got two moments that stand out for me.

2. Finally getting a chance to come out and see a car audio comp and watch a few friends compete. (Selective Sound show in the summer).

1. Realizing that my knowledge of car audio (though somewhat proficient) is barely 1% of what there is to know.

Many good times....

#4 Losing points in SQi for a broken fan (the whole blade flew off the motor) after burping it at the Lindsay comp tied with Joels strobing brake light display & Matts Blazers starter grind. lmao Thats a Chev 4.3 alright. lol My old Astro did it once too. "Do it again!, griiiiiinnnnd, grrrriiiiiinnnnddd" lmao

#3 Making it to the last round of BassRace FC and losing to Don (I could almost feel the cash, lol). Tied with running the wrong song for 39.9 bassrace against Ross and losing that one too. ...yet for some reason I LOVE BASSRACE!!!

#2 Meeting many of the people on CCA and making some new friends, tied with SPLTV. Yuli, you do a great job. Without it we wouldn't know half the fun we missed. lol Also sitting in Joel and Matts vehicles. HOLY !!!

#1 Out with the JL's that won me 2 1st place, & 2 second place trophies @ two shows (ya, I got lucky but like BRG said the trophies were nice) and in with the TF Ones!

For only being my first year competing, and only making it to 2 shows I had fun. Even losing was fun, in that I learned A LOT. Looking forward to meeting more of you in 2010, and HOPE to break 150!, ...in a minivan, ...behind 3rd row seat, ....whatever it takes or should I say "breaks" lol... :sly:

#3 - SPL TV videos.. they crack me up even though I'm not always able to put faces with names.

#2 - Seeing the windshield getting blown out of Bob Perillos old van in Buffalo... never seen one pop before so this was pretty cool.

#1 - Eastern Canadian dbDrag finals - I had no intentions of going but made last second plans with Jeff & Mar.. even then I was just going to watch but decided if I was going to go I should compete.. I ended up competing against Les in the finals and we tied. I managed to win in the end (despite clipping problems) but it was the most fun I've had at a show in a very long time!

#3: Getting to work with Jeff and see what he has done and plans to do with his Rex. Seeing his gear/numbers and sharing ideas brought alot of respect for SPL competition to me

#2: Joining CCA and creating, replying to, and just reading some of the epic threads that have been posted up

#1: Deciding to run the 'Fire in the Battle Of The Boxes show at the last second and having a laugh when it posted a 131dB and took a second place trophy in I.C.E.

For the future, hopefully when I get a new ride I can put some coinage into a new system and start competing on a more serious level, and meet more of the people on this forum and just generally interested in our hobby
