Alert 750r with idatalink bypass module
#11
I really hate to tell you this but I think you have the wrong firmare flashed on your idatalink module. There are only 2 wires needed for your bypass module to work (orange) to datawire and pink to ignition. The other wires are for your doorlocks and convenience features. What does your idatalink sheet say for firmware? It should be ADS-AL (DL)-GM1

Ok I have all those hooked up but I disconnected the two ignition output wires from the vechicle and attached them to the module is that correct or do I leave them attached from alarm to vechicle then tee in module an if I tee it in do I tee to both or just one

Look at the previous post I talked about ignition and accessory wires, but the remote starter ignition wires and ignition wire from idatalink go to the ignition harness of the vehicle.

Ok so I have it all wired up now managed to program module and I managed to program te alarm however the remote shows everything's working but nothing actually happens and every couple of times it looses the program and needs to be reprogrammed any thoughts

The most important thing to consider when deciding to buy a car is how much you're going to use it. Obviously, if it's just going to sit outside your dorm or apartment for four years, it's not worth it. And if you find yourself driving alongside university buses all the time, car ownership may still not be a great idea.
Where is your school? Are you in the middle of nowhere, or are you in a city with public transportation?
How comprehensive are campus shuttles?
How many people on campus have cars? If the number is relatively small, you can probably get by with your student ID and walking shoes.
