Alpine alarm help

Hey guys, I'm new here, and have a few alarm related questions.
I have an alpine SEC-8063 alarm in my car. For those of you who are familiar, it has the little screen and everything in the car as well to display whats going on, and it also has the engine immobilizer, so you cant start the car while its armed

First off, it was already in the car when I bought the car, so I'm not sure who installed it or anything like that.

First question. When I arm the system, it will beep once, but then 15 seconds later it will beep 3 times, then a minute later, another three times. Is this arming the proximity, interior radar, and shock sensors or is this trying to tell me theres faulty sensors going on?

Second- I have the owners manual, where it shows me how to adjust settings, holding two buttons down at the same time, and it will show up on the screen and I can adjust it. When I do what it says, nothing happens. The screen is in a demo mode where it just cycles through everything, and when I try to adjust it, nothing happens.. Is there a way to reset the system? Would that work?

My sensors are set way too high, not that I mind, because I want people knowing I have an alarm, but I can set it in a parking garage, and it will set it self off by itself when I arm it because of the echo. Stuff like that gets annoying.

From what I read it's a really good alarm, but I feel like all I can use on it is arm and disarm. I want to be able to play with the screen, and use all the other features it has as well.

If anyone could chime in and help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!

About all I can help you with is the 3 beeps after alarming means that a door or truck is open.

Here is the owners manual - page 124 tells you how to turn off the demo mode. Hope this helps.
