car starter

I have two starters for my car but one stopped working i put a new battery in and the light flashes at the top but then stops and doesnt come on when i try to start my car. Did it become lose its programming because my wife washed it or is just not gonna work ever again because she washed it and messed up the chip?

mjr: typically most new remote-start system don't loose their programming when you change the battery in one of the transmitters. Sound like to me you need to ask wifey to cough up some cash ;)

PGM1 is right, if she washed it consider it toast. A new remote will typically cost you $50 for a regular 1-way, and around $150 for your typical 2-way(the one's with the LCD screens)

a place that sells polar remote start should have them and yes you would need to bring any other existing remotes as well as the new one. They all need to be programed at the same time to work.

Polar start problem

I have a polar remote starter in my 98 intrepid, and it isnt working. Both of my remotes light up when i press the buttons, but it wont start my car or allow keyless entry. my automatic locks work on their own though. I cannot, for the life of me, find anyone around here(i live in MN) that kelps reprogram a polar start. if anyone can guide me on how to reprogram this myself that would be greatly appreciated! I dont have a user manual for it since it was in the car when i bought it. It is getting pretty chilly here so the sooner the better!:)
