if its installed properly and the installer didnt cut the loop on the brain(cut loop is for auto trans.)...it should work 110% I wont install anything else

someone has already said it but here it is again:
1.leave key in ignition
2.apply brake pedal ( light blue/white must be connected)
3.place shifter in neutral position
4.set E-brake to ON( light blue wire MUST be connected)
5.remove foot from brake
6. *** WAIT 5 seconds*** if you listen you will hear clicks from the relays in the brain
7.remove key from ignition (vehicle stays running)
8.exit vehicle and close door(engine shuts off...arms alarm...locks doors if installed... red or red/white thin wire must be connected)

your 2 way remote will play a tone letting you know that reservation mode for remote start has been set

anytime from then on that you open a door...hood or trunk you will have to redo the sequence

hope this helps

If you need to re-enter the vehicle after setting it,( say to get your wallet) can you do a remote start first, then open the door, grab your stuff, then close the door and remote shut-down?
With the products I sell this is possible.

It should arm automatically when you close the door and it shuts down......unless you can change that in the settings.

On another note, how many guys here have the Star Trek style programmer for the compustar combo's. It looks like something straight off the Enterprise. Handy Tho...

Hmmm hopefully the gentlemen that works at Electronics in Kelowna can provide more info on this....

But when i was back home in Vernon. I stopped in to talk and see buddy at Electronics to check what kinda new stuff was there. I noticed they had an alarm that looked nearly identical to the compustar. Talking to buddy (manager) it's another line of compustar, basically renamed but otherwise identical (except cheaper).

None the less, i'd maybe give that a go if it is in fact identical just cheaper cause it doesn't have the name.

That being said, i have a 2way fm alarm/starter from compustar. Had it about a year now. Great alarm. Works great in my 5spd grand cherokee. To start my vehicle, i have to put the jeep in neutral, let go of break pedal, pull emergency break. Then assuming no one go's in or outta the jeep (i think) it'll start fine just by remote from in my house or hte mall or whatever. Solid alarm, intense range...never any trouble at all (apart from settings being a lil sensitive, but easily fixed!)

Furthermore mine (blue remote, third from the top i think) is rated at like 1500'. No idea how far that is, but i can regularly start my car from 5 blocks away + 27 stories up with no trouble at all!

*ARG edit for a third time*

Not that i wanna hijack stuff, but say a person wants to upgrade from the one made like over a year ago to the latest 900mhz one (which i'm told works better than the SS in canada). To upgrade does it involve like a whole wack of work? Or see'n as i have the one installed, is it mysteriously easier? or more importantly cheaper???
