CompuSTAR PRO BL2WFMAS / CompuSTAR PRO BL2WSHAS

Can someone tell me the difference between the CompuSTAR PRO BL2WSHAS and BL2WFMAS?

I can't seem to find any info on the compustar website.

There seems to be a difference of about $60 and I'm wondering if there is any must have features they left out on the "cheaper" model.

I don't even see those model #'s on my dealer list... but all Compustar pro's are the same module. the "brains" are all alarm/starters, any of the starters can be turned into an alarm as well using the OP500, just needs a shock sensor and siren.

Not all the brains are the same, there are ones just for starters that don't have the connectors for the shock sensor, rps sensor, back up battery etc... And there is the alarm brains with every connector.

And the BL2WSHAS is the older 2 way SH starter, and the BL2WFMAS is the same as the P2W9000FM-AS I think.

The way that they work it out is this: BL = Blade; 2W = two way; SH = SuperHeterodyne AM technology; AS = Alarm Starter; FM = FM radio frequency.

Go for the FM. It's got better range, looks nicer and has the extra features. More than worth the extra $60.00.

I finally broke down and called compustar

Their official answer was "the FM gives you more range"

features and everything else he said were the same.

SQmonster was more detailed than the compustar people
