help with compustar remote
 
im installing my compustar alarm/starter but my 2 way isnt working properly it arms the car but it doesnt show anything on the remote......... any clues to what it could be?

I did program it .... 5 times off and on but still nothing..... If I press I to lock it it locks it but the remote doesnt light up and show its locked on the screen

The remote is done. Take it back to where you bought it and have them replace it! I had the same thing happen.

Did you drop it? I dropped mine and I had to buy a new one.

I have another remote from a model higher then mine.... I tried to program it
But it don't seem like I can use it with my unit.. Any tips?

probably not - take it to a compustar dealer

It is either a failure in the antenna or the remote. Just because you have a remote that says compustar on it does not mean it will work. There are different types of antenna's and different frequencies that each remote and antenna is associated to. Take it to a authorized dealer as was already mentioned. Try to program a new remote to it (for that antenna type). If it works it is the remote issue, if it is the same as before, it is a antenna issue.

maybe he simply has a 1way antenna and hes trying to use the 2 way remote :) had that happen before straight from Robert Thibert

It was installed in my other car and it worked fine...
