Immobiliser Cuts for PHEV
Hi. I used to install alarms/ immobilisers a few years ago and when manufacturers started to include at the factory, alarm fitting for me sort of phased out. I still done a bit privately, but with keyless entry etc, the immobiliser is back. I have a outlander PHEV which is keyless start. I'm a bit concerned about the grabbing of the signal and stealing the car. I know there are various immobilisers like 'ghost' etc. I have a transponder immobiliser to fit which you fit behind the dash and touch the tag which is on your keys to de-activate the immobiliser. You used to immobilise the starter motor feed and the fuel pump feed, but this car being a PHEV these cuts will not apply. Does anyone have any info as the what feeds i can cut. the first one i was thinking was the start button, as if they get into the car, they cannot use the button. Hope someone can help. Thanks.
