Looking for an alarm system

Does anyone have any suggestions for an alarm system for my car. I have no power options in my car at all. So I don't need something that'll run any extra power accessories. Just a functional and trustworthy alarm that isn't going to get set off by the wind. Don't need something thats going to cost alot either.

Functional and trustworthy and not cost alot generally do not go hand in hand. While your car may not have power options (like locks), it is easy to add power locks at any time down the road.

1) do you have the need for remote start with it?
2) do you want the alarm to be a 2way or 1way?
3) who is installing it?
4) what entry points do you want to cover?

Hey MR2NR thankyou for the detailed reply, much appreciated. I most likely won't be adding any power options down the road, but you never know.

-I don't have any need for a remote start,

-one way is fine

-I'll be installing it myself. This will be my first alarm install, I'm currently in school for an elctrician which deals with small electrical aswell. I have done all my own work on my car, not hard if you take your time. I know my boundaries and know when i'm too deep. I'm sure I won't have a problem as long as the alarm i get has good instructions and possibly a help line or online tutuorial.

-The basic entry points on factory cars is cool with me. it's a 4 door if it makes a differenece.
