with GM's some work, some get freaked out and have intermittent issues with 2 adapters on the canbus line.

My favourite alarm/starter compbo is the Compustar pro with the Blade bypass modules.

Whats the differance between the pro's and the regular one's(I have a regular one) Is it just the temp and voltage feed back on the remote? remote timed start?

Pretty much it. and the need for an OP900 to program then which makes them more secure and quicker to program for installers. Also for Mazda's you can set them to recognize open cirvuit door triggers, so need to wire up bunches of diodes to the OEM harness to get a signal.

as far as anyone else re-programming it or messing up settings. Which in my 8+ years in the game I've seen other shops do while checking something else out in order to sell a new alarm system. I really the blade modules since you can program the module an ht eocmpustar all on a computer before isntall. Just need to program the remotes after

Do you have to use a OP900 because we have an OP500 and had issue's with a Compustar Pro that a customer brought in(and I'd also like to upgrade mine when I get my new car!)

for the Pro's yeah youy need an OP900 to get to all the extra featurs the pro has over the regular. OR just program it with a blade module on idatalink's website. It lets you program the bypass, as well as the compustar all from a PC/laptop

whats your favorite 2 way alar starter combo
Have you tried disconnecting you GM Lan 01 to see if that unit was causing a problem?

Maybe the issue you have with your bypass module is caused by the gm Lan 01...

i called them and theyt made me a special software cause when the bcm goes to sleep when i arm it it wouldnt lock the doors.
so we put a delay on the lock command. now every now and then i arm it and the doors dont lock so unless im beside my car im not sure if my doors are locked.
i called them a few times and dont really have time to play with that so imgoing to redo my alarm starter combo using a bypasskit module that only does the passlock and pk3 no more data. im not sure if its the fact that i have a gmlan 01 that may interfere cause i did more impala and no problem. just wondering if somebody has had the same problem cause if im away from the car somebody could open the door and steal stuff out of it even if the alarm is sounding. i need my car to be protected 100 percent not 90-95 percent thanks
I am not super technical and surely not even close to being able to do and install. But, I am told we have a solution for your vehicle. CANSLPL and a TB-GM2 will solve your problem. As I understand there is issues with the BCM going to sleep and also staying awake and draining the battery if the vehicle is not a daily driver. Also, the Compustar has a data port so the install should be easy. Hope this is helpful. Cheers, Danny
