passlock 1 help please

I installed a prostart along with a DEI 556lw in my 97 Sunfire. The problem I am having is getting the 556 to learn the resistance. I followed the book on how to program it cycle the key on off 2 times then start them car. The status led on the 556 doesn't blink like it's suppose to it just stays on. This is how I wired the 556 in brackets is where I wired the harness to on the car.

GREEN/BLACK—(not used)
BLACK/WHITE—(-) bulb check (black wire in black connector on left side of key cylinder)
BLACK—Passlock ground (Ground)
PINK—(+) ignition (Pink ignition wire)
BLUE—(-) status input (Ground when running on Remote Start)
VIOLET—(-) crank input (to ground through relay on start wire)
RED—(+) 12V (constant 12v)
WHITE—(not used)
YELLOW—key side resistance in (yellow passlock wire key side)
WHITE/YELLOW—(not used)
BLACK/YELLOW—vehicle side resistance out (yellow passlock wire vehicle side)

If someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated this is my first time doing a remote start but I'm not new to electrical.

If you are stuck, head down to Morden and see Jeff at Velocity Motors, he will sort it out for you for a modest charge.

BLACK/WHITE—(-) bulb check (black wire in black connector on left side of key cylinder) - This wire will test ground during crank
BLACK—Passlock ground (NOT CHASSIS Ground - Connect this input to the Passlock system’s ground reference wire.)
PINK—(+) ignition (Pink ignition wire)
BLUE—(-) status input (Ground when running on Remote Start)
VIOLET—(-) crank input (to ground through relay on start wire)
RED—(+) 12V (constant 12v)
WHITE—(not used)
WHITE/YELLOW—(not used)
BLACK/YELLOW—vehicle side resistance out (yellow passlock wire vehicle side)
YELLOW—key side resistance in (yellow passlock wire key side)
(Did you cut the Passlock resistance wire and "T" in with the BLACK/YELLOW & YELLOW?)

I hope this helps out a little.

I put the black wire on the passlock ground and still the same problem. The resistance wire is cut so that the module is wired in series.

There are 3 passlock wires.
Black/White or White, Yellow or Black, and Black
Be sure you have the one that show 1-4V, usually Yellow, but sometimes its Black.
DMM is a must for testing the Passlock wires.

Double check all your connections, just to be sure.
Also ensure that you have the BLACK/YELLOW and YELLOW (from the 556) hooked up the right way. Its a simple, yet very often over looked mistake.

Short of that it could be a faulty module.
If it's bad, pop into your local Future Shop or Best Buy, and pick up an ADS-TBSL PL $59.99.
No programming required.
Hook it up and away you go.
