polar remote start - horn honks once when vehicle starts??
I have a polar remote starter. It starts the vehicle fine but about every 3rd time the horn gives a single honk when it starts... any idea why or what that means??
Thanks a bunch. |
Any help would be appreciated. I know the remote starter/alarm communicates via flashing lights and horn honks so I am sure it is trying to tell me something... I just don't know what as I don't have the manual...

im from haleys 30 minutes from you im an installer what kind of car and when the horn nonks does the car start and i can get you a manual

What kind of vehicle do you have? This is common with most newer Chryslers as they have some weird timing with their horns. If it is a Chrysler, you can adjust the timed output on the horn honk so that it does it everytime or you can also totally disconnect it if it bothers you.

Thanks a bunch. it may not be the case, but i have installed alarms where after the remote start when the doors lock it will arm the factory alarm, causing the horn honk. sometimes when the doors are already locked and you remote start the car, the doors will unlock then re-lock and honk the horn. like i said earlier this may not be the case but i didn't install it and can't give you the 100% answer. |
