radar detector.. good buy?

Well i really dont know a whole lot about radar detectors so im just wondering if this Whistler Pro 73 is a good buy at $198 at visions

radar... pfft dosent matter at all,
if your the car in fromt your effed no matter what... if it lazer radar, it will go off to let you know your getting a ticket... other then that its a pointless buy, the only way it will do you any good is if your detector can pick up farther then the gun itself can...


but thats my rant, cuz i have or had a valentine one for a week to test out... works really well but not well enough to let stay away from getting tickets... picks up way too much false alarm stuff, and also picks up other peoples radar detectors

I don't know the laws out west about radar detector's but far down here on the east coast if the cop's know you have one it is a nice fine. Last year I was on the 104 doing 160Km/hr in a 110Km/hr zone and got nail. The fine was $475.00 for speeding and $147.75 fine for having a radar detector. If I took out the radar and run over it I wouldn't have got the $147.75 fine. F@#k that I pay to much for the radar detector ( BeLtronics STi radar)

yea i know there not amazing but i thought if your following someone, then the cops will radar them n then my detector will go off n ill have a second or 2 to hit the brakes?

I have the Bel RX65 and i love that thing.States side is where i gotten this Alot cheaper then eBay or all that crap. Google.ca it to there
