Classifieds

I am not trying to start as the last thread was closed on this topic was closed.
Here is my question. The biggest problem with there being no replies allowed in the For Sale section is that sellers do not include all the information needed,
Is it possible to enter information into a form and have the form generate the post for them so all info is hit? Or when they hit create thead it inserts text into the Message area? Something along the lines of what happens when you click the "qoute" button?
I think it would solve alot of problems

^^^ i agree the sellers dont always post enough information weather it be prices, location or contact information

Rabbit should just delete topics without the right info!

Back-2-Bassiks 02-23-2006 11:22 AM

If you guys would like myself and Rabbitman to delete topics that dont have the proper info, Im not sure about him but I can do that if you wish.....Perhaps I will come up with a sellers sheet that they can just cut and paste and fill out. :dunno:

im just thinking that would get everyone in line,it is hard to remember it doesnt tell anyone where your from anymore!

Back-2-Bassiks 02-23-2006 11:41 AM

Does this help any

anything else you guys would like me to add to this post? and as I said I will start deleting topics that dont have the proper into in them, and I will msg rabbitman and see if he will do the same.

Something like that looks good. If there is a way that every msg window in the classified section can start with that it would be amazing

Back-2-Bassiks 02-23-2006 12:23 PM

I think thats pretty hard, but try sending Rick a pm and asking him.

i could code a form to be filled out, youll find many people dont use them but it is something ill look into in the next few months.

Until then, no replies.

rabbitman 02-23-2006 07:53 PM

We can delete them if you want, what I generally do, is post and ask them to put it in there, if they leave it, then I delete it.
Edit: BTW this site is way better for people posting stuff than GTCars.ca. Some people on there have been temporarily banned, just from points accumulated, by not posting their contact info or location. And I give them a day to post it, before I warn them. Well, at least I try. Those classifieds are pretty busy.
