classifieds section is going to ****s

man with all these scamers and ish how are we car audio fanatics trade/buy new stuff to switch it up. we should get some stricter rules for it so that people will not regret doing buisness on such an amazing site.

I think we should for SURE have people post there name/date/site on their pics.....any one have any other suggestions?

It would be great to nail some of these POS but when purchasing from the classified section best to make sure they have lots of posts and a common fixture to this site with lots of active posting.

Why not restrict the classified section to members with for example 200+ posts and 3 months?

I personally believe this is the best idea. The staff had discussed it before but i believe we should revisit it.

Good call Drew

ive had a three successful transactions in which all three times ive sold an item (one guy never left itrader feedback)

why should i get screwed out of the classified section just because i dont have 200 posts?

Perhaps, use the Itrader status, and the lenght of time the user has been online! I would volunteer to filter it better (I clearly have nothing better to do) And Drew's IDea would be great, but I do feel for the newer users!!!

minimum post count thing will eliminate a lot of new members (me for example) just because I'm new doesnt mean i should be treated like a scammer.
heres an idea, why not use some common sence when making a purchase online, wow, what a nifty concept, take responsibilities for your own actions...you take a chance, you pay the price......for example, i mailed that bassinyourface guy and something didnt click with his answer so i didnt buy the product!.......

......of course just my little humble opinion....oh wait, less than 50 posts....am i allowed an opionion yet???

I would also like to see a scammer thread in this section. In it would be posted the offender, the offence and perhaps other relevant info like who was scammed. It is a read only format. A pm to a moderator with the proper info would be necessary and would be a fill in the blanks type of reply. This ideally will be a read only format, no flaming, no questions, just a profile build of how much scamming is really going on. This will open many peoples eyes as to how many site members are really being screwed over.

In all honesty.. I see where you guys are going but in the end it's up to each person to do their homework on a deal and even then there are some risks involved.

Post count doesn't make you honest. Tenure doesn't make you honest.

As an FYI... these last 2 users, Fikingpin and BassInYourFace, were both the same user so having 1 person come on here and cause problems for the hundreds of other users who act in good faith on a daily basis may be a bit of a knee-jerk reaction. I also think that saying the classifieds section is going to based on 1 bad person is being a bit dramatic.

What's would have stopped him from spending a month or two whoring up the board to get his 200 posts only to then pull the same stunt?

In the end he's a few grand richer for a few hours of posting.

Rob.. I fully plan to start a thread as soon as things get cleared up on this.

Will people actually read it and make sure that they're dealing with the right people though....
